The Family Activity Problem, Solved

Finding something a 9-year-old, a teenager, and two parents genuinely all enjoy is basically a myth — except golf keeps quietly pulling it off. The simulator turns practice into a family game night; the skill gap does not matter because everyone competes against their own numbers; and nobody is staring at a phone.

Grand Island is built for golf families — a young town, courses on every side, and junior programs at Indianhead when the kids catch the bug. A family that swings together has a standing activity for every season and every age its kids will ever be.

How a Family Session Runs

1One bay, everyone swinging.

The family rotates through TrackMan while the coach moves between golfers — each person gets individual fixes at their own level.

2Games keep the young ones in.

Target contests and closest-to-the-pin battles run all session. Kids stay engaged; parents get sneaky-competitive. Every family, every time.

3Homework the family shares.

You leave with a practice game the household can play together — backyard, garage net, or your next nine at Jackrabbit Run.

One session rate covers the family, making this comfortably the cheapest coached activity per person you can book in Grand Island.

Get the Family In

An Investment That Outlasts Every Phase

Sports come and go with seasons and childhood — golf compounds. The parent-kid lesson at 10 becomes high school golf at 16, college-break rounds at 20, and a standing tee time that survives marriages, moves, and decades. Ask any Grand Island family with three generations in one foursome what it is worth.

It also fixes the chauffeur problem: instead of driving kids to an activity and waiting in the car, you are in the bay improving too. Same hour, everyone gains.

Family promise: every member of the household sees their own TrackMan numbers improve in the first session, or it's free.

Family Golf Lessons — FAQ

What ages work in a family session?

Kids from about 5 up can join meaningfully, and there is no upper limit — we have coached three-generation sessions with grandparents, parents, and grandkids sharing one bay. The coaching adapts per person.

How many family members can share one session?

Up to five or six works well in a bay. Larger crews can book back-to-back hours or split bays. Tell us your headcount and we will structure it.

Do we all need our own clubs?

No — clubs are provided in every size needed, kids included. If family members later want their own sets, we fit each person properly so nobody inherits equipment that sabotages their swing.

What does a family lesson cost?

The family shares a single session rate ($50-$75/hour range) rather than paying per person — which makes it the best per-head coaching value we offer. Recurring family slots are available and popular in winter.

Our skill levels are wildly different. Does that matter?

Not at all — it is the normal case. TrackMan gives each golfer their own numbers to chase, so Dad rebuilding his slice and a 7-year-old learning contact both get exactly the coaching they need in the same hour.

Is this a good alternative to individual kids lessons?

They complement each other. Family sessions build the shared habit and keep it fun; individual junior lessons accelerate a kid who gets serious. Many families run monthly family sessions plus private lessons for their most golf-obsessed member.
